The Malcolm Royal Prize provides the opportunity for one patent attorney and one trade marks attorney member (with less than 5 years post-registration experience) to present at the IPTA Annual Conference.
These sessions, known as the Malcolm Royal Sessions – named after the late Malcolm Royal – are designed to encourage and promote higher learning within the IP profession in Australia.
The selected presenters will have the opportunity to speak for 30 minutes on an IP topic of their choice and will be provided with full complimentary conference registration and a cash prize of $1,500.
IPTA encourages all YIPTA members to consider putting themselves forward to present at the conference. It is a wonderful opportunity to present alongside senior practitioners (both local and international), barristers, the judiciary and senior people from IP Australia.
These sessions have now been running for a couple of years and have been very well received by attendees and are an excellent way to showcase upcoming talent in the profession. It represents a very supportive and inclusive opportunity.
If you have any questions about the conference or about the YIPTA sessions, please contact us.
