We have great pleasure inviting you to the 2024 Annual Conference including the 105th Annual General Meeting which will be held in the city of Canberra, ACT, at the Realm Hotel from Wednesday 20 to Friday 22 March 2024.
We have put every effort into creating a strong educational program with well-regarded presenters.
On the social front, Wednesday evening kicks off with a Welcome Reception at The Marion. On Thursday evening we will enjoy an informal dinner at Old Parliament House. Our Friday night Gala Dinner will be held at The Arboretum.
While all educational sessions and social events are included in the full delegate registration fee, day registration is available for those who can’t attend the whole conference.
In accordance with the Trans-Tasman IP Attorneys Board (TTIPAB) guidelines, patent and trade marks attorneys attending the conference may claim one-hour CPE for each hour of business sessions they attend. This provides the opportunity to record approximately 18 hours of CPE as detailed in the program.
The deadline for conference registration is 6 March 2024. Online registration and the first edition of the program and discounted accommodation rates are now available on the IPTA website.

The Venue

The Hotel Realm is located next to the Parliamentary Triangle and is within walking distance to national icons including Parliament House, the National Gallery of Australia, and the National Library of Australia. Burbury Hotel & Apartments is our 4.5 star hotel offering 152 hotel, suites and apartments while also featuring Leyla Bar, located on the rooftop of the 7th floor. Leyla Bar offers a light and playful menu filled with smaller bites. Accompanied by a wide selection of creative cocktails, premium spirits, local and imported wine and beer. Located on the ground floor are hatted restaurants, Chairman & Yip and Lilo Tang, showcasing highly awarded and delectable fine dining menus. The apartments are a mix of one and two bedroom apartment style accommodation available or one night or longer stays.
The Little National Hotel offers affordable luxury to all. Set in the shadow of Parliament House, each of the 120 Little National rooms contain a super King bed, wall to wall window, luxurious bathroom, LCD television, in-room safe, bar refrigerator, complimentary WiFi, movies and local telephone calls, access to the Little National Living Rooms and all the amenities afforded by neighbouring Realm Precinct, including hale gym, day spa, hair salon, restaurants and cafes.
